One connection is usually the limit rather than the line: Wi-Fi caps a single stream, and debrid hosts cap per connection. A file served with byte ranges is now fetched by six workers in 4 MB chunks into a 128 MB cache kept ahead of the reader, which FFmpeg reads through a custom AVIOContext. A seek starts a new window where it lands. Small files, playlists and hosts without byte ranges keep the single reader, so nothing else changes. Ported from PS5VR's eng_parallel_io, with the window halved because Nuvio is a BigApp hosting the browser dialog rather than a VR app with a 12 GB direct pool, and with the workers created through evo_thread_create: they run FFmpeg's HTTP reader, and the console's default thread stack is what closed the app with CE-108255-1 in 1.7.2. Measured on a PS5 against a 15.7 GB HEVC HDR remux over a debrid link: 120 Mbit/s for the first 128 MB, 118 Mbit/s when started 25 minutes in, decoder closes clean, no faults in the kernel log.
